Ronald Williamson has over 20 years’ experience in Information Technology and Information Security. He has held roles within the banking, retail and healthcare industry. Currently, he is Director of Information Security at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Driven by a belief in promoting a strategic vision and utilizing best practices to accomplish compliant and auditable information security controls and procedures, Ronald has a vast understanding of the risks facing information managers today.
Even though ever-growing security challenges are present, Ronald believes that solid risk management strategies are possible through collaboration, technical leadership and concise project management.
Ronald received his degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. He holds memberships in ISSA, InfraGard and Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS). He serves as an advisor to the Midwest Cyber Security alliance (MCSA) which acts to collaborate with individuals, businesses (large and small), government entities, and professional firms advocating for more effective cyber security solutions.
